Running a successful crowdfunding campaign requires a lot of hard work and careful planning, but the Arrowstorm Entertainment team has turned it into an art. Now in the midst of fundraising for the fourth installment of their Mythica fantasy franchise, the Arrowstorm team is once again asking fans to join in on their quest. You can check out their latest Kickstarter campaign video here:
The Mythica series tells the story of Marek (played by Melanie Stone), an escaped slave girl who develops her dark powers through her wizard mentor Gojun (acted by fan-favorite Kevin Sorbo of Hercules and Andromeda). Fans worldwide have eagerly awaited the continuation of the series, and catapulted the film to the second most popular film on Kickstarter for the entire first week of its launch.
“Mythica captures the thrill of the role-playing game experience: forming an underdog team of disparate heroes to win fortune and glory,” said Arrowstorm’s Kynan Griffin. “It was made by true fans, for true fans. Fan support from the Kickstarter campaign is a crucial driving force in the creation and success of the Mythica franchise.”
The fourth installment (Mythica: The Iron Crown) continues the epic action and fantasy drama that Mythica has become known for. The Synopsis listed on the Kickstarter page describes the newest plot developments:
When a team of unlikely heroes hijacks a steam-powered battle wagon, a daring young wizard (Marek) steals the final piece of the all-powerful Darkspore and embarks on a desperate quest to deliver the cursed artifact to the gods for safe keeping; but when they are caught in a death race between a ruthless team of elite mercenaries and a trinity of demons, Marek must learn to believe in herself before her friends are killed and the Darkspore is lost, to stop the evil necromancer (Szorlok) from uniting the Darkspore and flooding the living world with his legions of undead.
As always with crowdfunding projects, the fans will ultimately get to determine whether or not this film gets off the ground. But with a strong start, the Arrowstorm team is trending toward success.
