When Cubicle 7 Entertainment and Sophisticated Games’ published The One Ring table-top roleplaying game it received critical acclaim and fan accolades soon after it was released back in 2011. The latest incarnation of Middle-earth to come to the gaming table received several awards, including Lucca Games & Comics Fair for Best in Show (2012), Golden Geek Award for Best Art & Presentation (2012), Silver ENnie Award for Best Production Values (2012), Gold ENine Award for Best Art (2012), and an Origin Awards nomination for Best RPG. Initially released in 2011, The One Ring was packaged as a pair of softcovers, a set of dice and a pair of maps – all in full color and absolutely beauty.
Fast forward to 2014 and Cubicle 7 Entertainment and Sophisticated Games has released a revised edition of The One Ring. This time, the information provided in the Adventurer’s Book and Loremaster’s Book have been cleaned up, reorganized, revised and updated and combined into a single hardcover volume. The maps previously featured in the slipcase have been conveniently re-printed on the inside covers of the hardcover.
