Man of Steel Soars to Box Office Records on Opening Weekend

Warner Bros. epic reboot of the Superman franchise has soared to # 1 at the box office.

The film, which stars Henry Cavill, took in over $125 million over its opening weekend!This total makes Man of Steel the largest weekend opener in June in US history.

“They finally got the Superman formula right,” said Paul Dergarabedian, an analyst for box-office tracker Hollywood.com. “Superhero movies really are the bread and butter of the summer box office. The fact that Iron Man 3 has the biggest opening of the year so far and Man of Steel has the second biggest opening of the year just proves that.”

This is great news for Warner Bros. as the rumour has been reported that they have already approved a sequel.
